These lectures cover subject matter including the
history of the Uilleann pipes from the 1600s to the present day, the music of
South Leitrim and the surrounding North Connaught region of Ireland. Related subject
areas include the strong associations between the music and people of South Leitrim
and the musical repertoire and personalities in the USA in the late 1800s and
early 1900s.
